Haritagiri is located in Kalpetta, In Wynad which is a plantation district of Kerala growing cash crops like coffee, tea, pepper, ginger, cardamom, areca-nut etc. The bountiful nature supports exotic flora and fauna. Places to Visit


The fascinating place is enriched with natural beauty and still untouched. The hill is named 'needle rock hill' and the beautiful water falls, are really enthralling.

Chembra Peak: at 2100M. above sea level, this is an idea place for trekking.

Wayanad Wildlife Sanctury(1973): Part of Nilgiri biosphere reserve. The Muthanga forest range, come discover the untamed beauties of Wayanad.

Tea Gardens: The Tea Gardens are the identity of Wayanad.

Kuthirakode Temple: The remains of an ancient Temple, an historical place with immense beauty and eye-catching atmosphere.

The Pookkot Lake: The fresh water lake nested above wooded hills, is the only one of its kind in Kerala. With boating facilities, a children's park a handicrafts and spices emporium and a fresh water aquarium are among the tourist facilities available here.

Wayanad Heritage Mueseum: At Ambalavayal, near the Ambukuthy Hills, view artifacts and belongings of various tribes of the land. And sure one of the best among its class in Kerala.
Wayanad Wild Life Sanctuary: is contiguous to the protected area network of Nagerhole and Bandipur of Karnataka on the north east and Mudumalai of Tamilnadu on the south east. Rich in bio-diversity, the sanctuary is an integral part of the Nilgiri biosphere reserve. Elephants, Spotted Deer, Bison, Tigers, Cheetahs, Beers.
Papanasini - Thirunelly Temple: Known as the southern Kashi, and the place is surrounded by Kambamala, Karimala and Baradiga, the Thirunelly Temple is a marvel tradition temple architecture. The shrine is shielded with 30 granite columns and the ground is paved with huge squire pieces of granite. The crystal clear waters of Papanasini River running down hill add to the enchantment of the place.
