Sanawara is a single-storied house built around a grassy courtyard, which is shaded by palms and fragrant with a variety of Jasmine vines and Frangipani. There is a wide verandah around all four sides of the courtyard. Two wings are for our guests; one for us, the fourth is the communal area with sitting, dining, kitchen, pantry etc. The rooms are of all high quality ceilings, lights and fresh air passage. We have been especially careful of cross-ventilation. All rooms have mosquito proof netting on all the doors and windows. The verandahs have bamboo screens to provide shade. We moved into “Sanawara”in 2004 and opened it for guests in 2005. |
