Nikki's nest is a private sea side resort that sits perched on a hill top. Located in a quaint little village called Chowara, south of south India’s popular Kovalam beach, this tropical shore line tempts you with a lot of sun and a lot of sand, just what you need for a perfect tan.

Cottages of traditional Kerala architecture placed at various levels on the hill slope, allow each twin unit to enjoy its own  unobstructed view of the ocean and its surrounding beauty. These well furnished cottages with a good blend of modern amenities and traditional comforts, with a private lawn and garden of exotic orchid collections, provide the relaxation and privacy one deserves.

Ayurveda Treatment

Ayurveda has a thorough method of eradicating the disease by cleaning out the aggravated biological tumors. This cleaning procedure is called "Pancha Karma". The Ayurvedic physician prescribes individual treatment after a detailed consultation. It includes Ayurvedic medication and special Ayurvedic diet.

• Rejuvenation Therapy: Massages using medicated oils, steam baths and administration of rejuvenating medicines. Duration 7 to 14 days.
• Body Purification Therapy: Body massage by trained persons with a steady flow of medicated oils. Cleaning the inner organs by medicated oils and herbs. Application of herbal juices and medicated oils through the nose, on the head and cleaning the eyes.
• Body Immunization: Same treatment as in Body Purification Therapy with additional Yoga and Medication sessions.
• Slimming Programme: Medicated herbal oil massages and medicated herbal powder massages, body purification therapy and medicated steam baths. Duration 7 to 41 days.
• Medicated Steam Bath: Tones up the body, cleanses the skin and improves blood circulation. It cures obesity, pain in the joints repository and rheumatic complaints. Duration: 14 to 21 days.
• General Massage: Body massage with herbal oils or herbal powders . It tones up the body and improves blood circulation.
• Beauty care Treatment: Herbal face pack and massage with herbal cream and oil.

Note: Duration of treatment may vary according to the direction of the physician and medication may change depending upon the patients body condition.

Yoga and Meditation: Relaxation in the real sense is possible only when the mind is free. Ayurveda believes that physical and mental health go together. Ayurveda, Yoga and Meditation tones up the body, mind and soul. Special Yoga and meditation sessions are conducted by special Yoga Gurus.

Nikki’s Farm - A river side resort 

Going up from the sunny sands of Nikki’s Nest to the foothills of the scenic Ponmudi hills, by the Kallar river side and Ponmudi Reserve Forest (about 50km by road) is Nikki’s Farm. An area of over 100 acres, this nature lover’s paradise, was opened up out of virgin forests, a century ago, by pioneer planters.

This eco-friendly resort planted with Rubber/Coconut/Cocoa/Coffee and various spices, with open grass lands and delightful trekking trails forms the access to your hideaway here.

Tuck yourself away amidst dense greenery in quaint cottages on stilts or in a jungle log cabin. The more adventurous can choose to stay in our tree house with all facilities, about 60ft above the ground.

The restaurant is a traditional Kerala "Nallukettu", a wooden antique master piece which is over a hundred years old, by the Kallar river, lined with gurgling rivulets and the most exotic of wild life.

Activities include bird watching, trekking, elephant rides, swimming, boating and angling, you could catch your own supper. Guides will be provided to explore the forests. Finally an engaging visit to a tribal village deep inside the forest provides your close-up view and observance of their curious way of existence where life has stood still for decades. Tribal witch doctors and herbal tribal treatments are still carried on successfully where various ailments including treatment for poisonous snakebites are popular with the local people.

Orchids thrive in wild profusion , a charming deer park, and Golden Valley another pretty picnic spot endowed with natural springs, is a little further down the hill.
• Peppara reservoir and Animal Reserve Immense scope for trekking and wild life, this sanctuary cum reservoir is a big attraction. This place is under the jurisdiction of Asst. Wild life Warden, Peppara.
• Agasthyar Peak: Situated about 1869 mts above sea level Agastayar peak is the pride of the Western Ghats. Its believed that the great sage Agastaya had his abode in this peak. This place is noted for its abundant Ayurvedic herbs, orchids and natural bonsai. Three major rivers in the south take their origin from here. Only groups of fifty persons are allowed here in a day, to preserve this unique eco-system.
• Bonakkad: Trip to Agastayar peak starts from Bonnakkad. Good climate, tea plantations ,orchid collections and Bonofalls are the main attractions.
