Raveendran Nair MD (Ay): The part and parcel of the
institution is the key who keeps every functioning fruitful. He
hails from an ancient family of traditional Ayurvedic Physicians
having high academic qualifications, is the Managing Director. He
is the retired Professor of Government Ayurveda College and at
present, the General Secretary of Ayurveda Congress and member of
faculties in various Universities.

Rajagopalan DAM MBBS: FAIM - He is the chief guide of all
research units. He belongs to the field of eminent member of this
science, dedicated in this field, efficient scholar, conducting
regular researches during the last four decades.

of Government Ayurveda College. Chief Consultant of General

Unit: For the convenience of patients in Thiruvananthapuram City,
a Subsidiary Institution of Arsha is
functioning at
Kunnumpuram Junction near Ayurveda College, facilities for IP and
OP wings including Panchakarma Therapy are provided here.

Kovalam Unit:
For the benefit of International Tourists 'Arsha' has a tie-up
with Pappukutty Beach Resorts at Kovalam Light House Beach. At
this resort, fulltime health care service of Arsha is provided
with trips and advises for healthy living. Health packages are
arranged with full infrastructure. Guidelines on Yoga Class and
Therapy is also arranged.

Abhyanga:
Massaging the whole body for revitalization and conditioning for
particular diseases with recommended medicated oils.

Udwarthanam:
Massage using herbal powders in reverse direction in cases of
Obesity, Diabetes, BP, etc.

Pizhichil:
A variety of Message using Luke - warm medicated oil poured from a
certain height over the whole body. Effective in Prolapsed Disc, Parkinson's,
Paraplegia and similar conditions.

Kizhi:
Leaves of medicinal plants or herbal powders are fried and made
into a bolus in a cloth bag and applied for massage on the whole
body for Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteo Arthritis etc.

Navarakizhi:
Rice with medicinal property cooked with milk & herbal
decoctions and made into bolus in a cloth bag and used for
massaging in conditions like Muscular Atrophy, Hemophilia, Paraplegia
and as a part of Rejuvenation Therapy.

Vasthi:
Medicated Enemata is widely practiced in eradicating Neurological
Disorders. Medicated oils or Decoctions are selected. There are
various forms of Enemata Sneha Vasthi. Kashaya Vasthi, etc.

Snehapana:
Administration of massive doses of medicated ghee in Asthma,
psoriasis, Gastric Ulcer and Dermatitis.

Ksheera
Dhooma: Inhalation of fumes prepared with milk and selected
herbs in Facial Paralysis, Dysphasia and other diseases of Ear, Nose,
Throat.

Nasyam:
Instillation of drugs in the nose for Neurological conditions.

Thakra
Dhara: Medicated fat-free curd is poured over the head and
body for Insomnia, Neuralgia and Skin Deseases.

Thaila
Dhara & Dhanyamla: Dhara are similar procedures.

Kateevasthi:
Keeping medicated oil in limbo - sacral region for IVDP and
similar conditions.

Tharpanam:
Medicated oil or ghee is retained in the eye for Pathological
conditions.

Thalapothichil:
Scalp is covered with herbal paste, suitable for Insomnia,
Depression, Premature Graying, Baldness.

Upanaham:
Local anti inflammatory therapy using herbal pastes.
